A speakers and artists bureau makes sure that you will find the appropriate presenter to place the finishing touch on your event. Our specialists provide an array of assistance from developing creative themes for your event to matching speakers/artists for the occasion to managing contracts, logistics and travel plans. We can consult you on every step of the planning.

InSight Initiative has nurtured close relationships with our speakers over the years. We will advise you about their schedules and any flexibility within their honorarium. How much does it cost to book an artist or speaker? Where can I find speaker fees for InSight Initiative artists or speakers?

Speaker/artist fee or honorarium* can depend on a number of different factors, including: the type of organization and nature of an event (for-profit vs. not-for-profit), how far a speaker has to travel, length and number of presentations, and demand for a speaker’s services.

*Additional expenses such as travel and lodging are not included in the honorarium.

Does it cost more to book an artist and speaker when using a bureau?

No, the bureau is paid by the speaker/artist, not the client. We know each speaker’s and artist’s preferences and the factors that influence them to be more flexible in their fee requirements. These factors include the type of organization, audience or event, the location of the event, and promotional opportunities for book sales, just to name a few. When possible, we can incorporate events into the itinerary of the speaker/artist, if
they will be in you area and have schedule availability to present at your event.

How far in advance should I start planning an event?

For the best preparation, we prefer to plan events 6- 12 months in advance. Yet, we realize that this is not always the case. InSight Initiative specialists are accustomed to working on last minute booking and replacement speakers or artists should there be a cancellation for an event.

NOTE: For special events such as holiday keynote addresses, we encourage you to start preparing as far in advance as possible.

What if my speaker/artist has to cancel because of an emergency?

At InSight Initiative, we are pleased to boast an extremely low cancellation rate among our speakers. When the occasional cancellation does occur, it is generally attributed to something that is out of both InSight Initiative and the speaker’s control – such as a sudden emergency or unforeseen circumstance. Otherwise, we have a thorough process in place when planning engagements that ensures accordance with our speakers’/artists’ schedules to prevent any glitches or cancellations.

In the highly unlikely case that an emergency does arise and a speaker must cancel, we will work with you to find an appropriate replacement.

CHOOSING A SPEAKER OR ARTIST: How can I evaluate a potential speaker or artist before inviting them? Do you have testimonials?

InSight Initiative will assess the needs of your programming, present you with tailored recommendations, and then provide you with the tools you need to properly evaluate each option for your event. We can provide you with an electronic press kit, including testimonials for our speakers.

Can I watch a preview video of a speaker/artist before making my decision?
